Evolutionary Biology of Triatominae

My research on Triatominae focuses on evolutionary patterns, species delimitation, and phylogenomics of blood-feeding insects. Combining morphological analysis and genomic data, I investigate their diversification and vector potential for Chagas disease.

Theraphosidae Systematics

This work explores tarantula taxonomy, morphology, and biogeography. Using geometric morphometrics, molecular phylogenetics, and comparative genomics, I aim to resolve complex species boundaries and evolutionary histories of Neotropical spiders.

Bioinformatics & Genomic Analyses

I integrate high-throughput DNA sequencing, genome assembly, and phylogenomic methods to study evolutionary processes. These approaches help uncover patterns of hybridization, adaptation, and diversification in Neotropical organisms.
